West Derby Golf Club was founded in 1896 by a group of residents intent on forming the first inland golf ‘links’ in South-West Lancashire. In 1923 the process began to increase the course from 9 to 18 holes. You can find a more detailed account of the last 113 years in the History section.

Since celebrating its centenary in 1996, West Derby Golf Club has held an annual Festival Week of Golf in July. The week includes a comprehensive programme of mens, ladies and mixed events, which are open to visitors as well as members. In 2009 the Festival Week will run from Monday 20th July to Sunday 26th July. Full details and competition entry forms are available from the office or can be downloaded here.

  Centenary Stone

If you seek a challenging test of golf on a beautiful, mature parkland course set in a leafy suburb of Liverpool with lush fairways and well kept greens, then look no further. At 6,275 yards the par 72 course includes 4 par 5's and 4 par 3 holes. It is a true test for low and high handicap golfers, alike.
